As part of the mandate of the Business Advisory Centre is to advise Small and Medium business, provide counselling to rural businesses and SMEs and to provide strategies for the growth of the local economic in the district.
The business in a box (BizBox) Project is a partnership between the Mastercard Foundation and Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA). The goal of the project is to support:
250,000 young people in dignified and fulfilling jobs
70% young women and 10% Persons with disabilities (PWDs)
The Foundation’s vision to address youth employment in Ghana, enabling 3million young women and men access to dignified and filling work by 2030.
Through training, mentorship, and coaching, qualified participants proceed to receive support with business formalization, product certification, and more to start and grow their businesses.
The five (5) pillars of the project are:
Youth skills development
Access to markets
Access to start-up kits
Youth social networks
Institutional strengthening, policy, and Regulatory support.
Inconclusion, the head of the centre advice the youth, women and PWDs of the district to develop interest in the project and its will be in phases so all stakeholders should take key interest in the project.
