DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRIBUTE FARMS INPUT TO PWDs IN THE DISTRICT

As part of the mandate of the SWCD to care for the disability in the district.

The District Assembly have distributed farm inputs to PWDs in the district as one of their mandates to improve the living condition of persons living with disabilities in the district.

The inputs were purchased from the Disability Common fund allocation for People With Disabilities (PWDs) to be independent of their income generation through improved farming practices. The director for SWCD said the farm’s input was for some selected members of the PWDs in the district and she said, she is doing the presentation on behalf of the Hon. DCE who was away for official duties. Some of the farm’s inputs that were distributed are as follows; fertilizer, weedicides,  seedlings (maize) etc.

The beneficiaries said they are grateful to the district Assembly for this bold decision to help them improve their food security and feed their family as well.
