GIZ Ghana is excited to kick off collaboration with partner districts of the Participation, Accountability, and Integrity for a Resilient Democracy (PAIReD) program. Through individual planning sessions with each of the 60 Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) across all 16 regions of the country, the Technical person said, the program is currently running in five (5) Districts in the Upper West Region. She said we are crafting roadmaps for our joint efforts in the areas of planning and budgeting, land-use planning, and accountability.
The key personnel from the Nadowli-Kaleo District Assembly and PAIReD convened to engage in constructive discussions about strengthening local governance priorities in a vibrant atmosphere.
This initiative is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
