As part of the Minister’s constitutional mandate in the Region, he is to supervise the policies and programs of the government for proper implementation in the various MMDAs in the upper west Region.
The Regional Minister and his team from the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) visited the Gulf of Guinea Northern Regions Social Cohesion (SOCO) projects in the District. He said, some of the projects are slow and some are progressing at a speed.
He encourages the DCE and Coordinating director to take a key interest in the projects that are slow and let the contractors speed up their projects for timely completion of all the projects in the district.
Hon. Minister also interacted with the unskilled laborers on the site, and he also encouraged them to be serious with the work so that the projects could be completed on time.
These were the projects visited by the Hon. Region Minister and his team from the RCC, the team from the district, and the team from the SOCO Zonal office in the Upper West Region.
- Construction of 1no CHPS compound at Nator-Duori
- Construction of 2no. 6-unit lockable market stores at Naro and Nanvilli
- Construction of 1no. 3-unit JHS block with 1no. 4-unit KVIP,2-unit urinal, changing room and furniture at Takpo-Tuori
- Siting, drilling, and mechanization of 1no. Borehole with 2,500litre capacity tank mounted on an elevated concrete stand at Nator-Duori and Takpo-Tuori.
