To advance Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education in the district, the Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament Alban SK Bagbin commissioned an ultra-modern Laboratory the Yamoransa Model Lab 14 at Kaleo in the district.
The event was graced by the Rt Hon Speaker, officials from Yamoransa, Implementers, the district assembly, hon assembly members, chiefs, MP for Lawra who stood for the district MP, high ranking government officials and the people of Kaleo and surrounding communities gathered to witness the commission of the facility.
The Yamoransa Lab 14 is fully fitted with computers, labs, conference rooms and makerspace to support robotics learning, virtual reality learning and 3D printing. This state-of-the-art facility was initiated and financed by the Rt Hon Speaker with technology funded by Helping Africa Foundation (HAF) and project management by Implementers (IMP)
This hub will serve the district as a go-to place for modern cutting-edge technology, innovation, robotics, artificial intelligence empowering students to be elite in the digital world. The Rt Hon Speaker was clear in his speech calling for stringent measures to ensure the prudent and efficient use of the facility to support the goal for which it was built. He encouraged students to make good use of the facility. A management committee was set up to operate it and ensure it runs smoothly and professionally.
